In a well-pitched game between the Brisbane Bush Wackers and the Kansas City Blue Spaders, pitcher Collin Ray was fantastic. The Brisbane right-hander was named the player of the game in Brisbane's 2-1 win. Ray went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 9. His record improves to 2-2. Pascal Leroy closed the door for Brisbane, picking up his 2nd save of the year.
Brisbane grabbed a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third when Josh Bowmer hit a run-scoring single. For the day, Bowmer was 1-4.
"We put together a nice win," Bowmer said.
The Bush Wackers keep rolling, raising their record to 18-10.
