Knights Saddle Dancin' Outlaws with 2-1 Loss
The Sioux City Knights and West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws put on a pitchers' duel at Penlee Park.

The West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws wasted an inspired, 5.1-inning effort from starter Rubén Sánchez, falling 2-1 to the Sioux City Knights at Penlee Park. The win was Juan Castaneda's in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Rubén Sánchez took the loss for West Virginia. Walker Baldwin recorded his 4th save for Sioux City.

Goris van Ekeren had a go-ahead single for Sioux City in the top of the fourth. With two out and a runner on 2nd, the 20-year old catcher hit a run-scoring single off Rubén Sánchez. His 29th hit of the season made the score 2-1.

"We did just enough to win," van Ekeren said.

The win pushes Sioux City to a record of 13-13.
