Fans who came to Penlee Park watched the Bethesda Hornets and the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws fight to the finish.

Bethesda starter John Curnew pitched effectively against the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws at Penlee Park. The right-hander led his team to a 5-4 win. Okakura Kamuta picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Tomás Sameiro was tagged with the loss. Baden Thwaites closed the door for Bethesda, picking up his 4th save of the year.

The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Motonobu Imamura came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing West Virginia pitcher Tomás Sameiro, he hit a 2-2 slider for a solo home run. It was a game-changer, putting Bethesda on top, 5-4.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Bethesda manager Francisco Solano.

The loss drops West Virginia to 11-9.
