Clunes Excels in Stroudsburg Win
Silvery Lane Field was the site for August Herrman League action featuring the Beach City Seals and Stroudsburg Shade.

The Stroudsburg Shade downed the Beach City Seals, 15-7, at Silvery Lane Field. Connor Clunes led the way, going 3-for-3 for Stroudsburg. Kyung-hwan Ho, the winner, improved to 1-1. He held the Seals to 2 runs on 6 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 0.

Clunes had a key at-bat for Stroudsburg early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a run-scoring single. It was his 21st hit of the season and gave Stroudsburg an early 1-0 lead.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Stroudsburg Shade manager Raúl Pérez. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."

The loss drops Beach City to 6-11.
