Dancin' Outlaws Get 7-4 Win Versus Houston
West Virginia left fielder Augusto Majana played a vital role in his team's 7-4 triumph over Houston. He was 2-2 with 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch for West Virginia. West Virginia reliever Tony Maloney picked up the win to move to 1-0. Hideyoshi Kawamura suffered the loss. With the win, West Virginia elevates its record to 10-8.

The contest featured some late-game dramatics from West Virginia pinch hitter Kiyomitsu Matsuoka. In the top of the eighth inning, with two out and the bases loaded, Matsuoka hit a 2-run single to help West Virginia seize the win.

"It feels good to get that win," said Majana. "Now it's on to the next one."
