|
Stroudsburg designated hitter Adler Wolfer had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team grab a 6-4 win over the Whitewater Eagles. Norogumi Yokoyama, the winner, improved to 2-3. He held Whitewater to 3 runs on 6 hits over 5 innings, while racking up 8 strikeouts. Martín Pérez locked down his 3rd save.
Wolfer had a big at-bat with one out in the bottom of the second inning. With his team down, 3-1, the designated hitter hit a 3-run home run to put Stroudsburg ahead.
"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Wolfer told the Stroudsburg Observer.
Whitewater, at 2-11, has had a dismal start to the season.
