Capitals Reel Off Another Win
Fans who came to Prairie Field watched the Springfield Capitals and the Bethesda Hornets fight to the finish.

In a close game at Prairie Field, the Springfield Capitals edged the Bethesda Hornets, 5-4. Springfield center fielder Phil Ramsay earned the nod as player of the game. He went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. Springfield, now 10-3, is playing great baseball to start the year.

Ángel González drove in one run for Springfield. The 16-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Javier Sánchez. It was his 9th RBI of the season.

"If we keep winning the close games" said Ramsay, "we'll be in good shape at the end."
