Westside Hot Streak Continues with 5-4 Win
|
The Westside Road Warriors did just enough to sneak past the Stroudsburg Shade, 5-4, at Road Warriors Field. Westside pitcher Bernardo Guerra earned player of the game honors. In 5 innings, Guerra surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run. The Road Warriors, now 9-1, have had a terrific start to the season.
Noriaki Kobayashi went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once against the Shade. In the bottom of the first inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run, putting Westside in front, 2-1.
"I like the roll we're on right now," said Guerra after the game.
