Princes Reel Off Another Win
|
In a low-scoring clash between Bel Air and Palm Beach, pitcher Guo Sang was a difference-maker. The left-hander earned player of the game honors for Bel Air in the 3-1 win. Sang, the winner, moves to 2-0. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up 1 walk. Naganori Naito finished to wrap up his 5th save.
Ángel Díaz in the top of the eighth had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 3rd and the Princes leading 2-1, the Bel Air left fielder hit a run-scoring single.
"I like what I saw today," said Bel Air manager Raúl Luna, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
The Princes, now 8-2, have had a terrific start to the season.
