Hipsters Come Up Short at Kansas City
|
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Kansas City Blue Spaders got the win.
Kansas City Blue Spaders starter Silvino Fagundo was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Austin Hipsters, 4-3. Fagundo, the winner, moves to 1-1. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up no walks. Earning his 3rd save for Kansas City was Li-zhu Kuang.
Odalis Sánchez contributed to the Kansas City win. The 20-year old right fielder stroked a 2-run double in the bottom of the third. For the game, Sánchez was 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.
Fagundo told the Kansas City Herald: "I was born for the big stage."
With the loss, Austin sinks to 7-4.
