The skies opened up and the rain fell at The Whig Stadium.
The Austin Hipsters got a stellar performance from pitcher Ángel Rodríguez, who handcuffed the Kansas City offense en route to a 3-2 win at The Whig Stadium. Picking up the save was Jae-bok Han, his 4th.
Chipping in for Austin was right fielder Marvin Brown. He stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth. For the game, Brown went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Kansas City manager Jack O'Callahan, "let me know."
The win gives Austin a record of 7-3.
