4-3 Win by Road Warriors Continues Hot Start
|
The Westside Road Warriors eked out a 4-3 win versus the Beach City Seals at Silvery Lane Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Hyun-tae Hwan, who captured player of the game honors. In 6 innings, Hwan surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. Nicholas Winslow finished to wrap up his 1st save.
Noriaki Kobayashi contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the eighth. With the bases loaded, he hit a run-scoring single. It was one at-bat that helped Westside get the win.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Kobayashi told the Westside Herald. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
Westside, at 6-1, is off to a blistering start.
