The Bush Wackers took Austin pitcher Ángel Rodríguez's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Baylor Ballpark. The final score was 4-2, Brisbane. Rodríguez went 5 innings and allowed 1 earned run, striking out 5. Brisbane reliever Pascal Leroy was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. John Byers took the loss for Austin. Losses have been few and far between for the Hipsters, who are now 5-2.

Francisco Molina, not known for his power, had a big at-bat with one out in the bottom of the 13th. That's when he connected on a fastball from John Byers for a 2-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season put Brisbane in front, 4-2.

Molina said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
