Yamasaki Jr. Silences Brisbane Bats
|
Springfield Capitals starter Kazutoshi Yamasaki Jr. kept the Brisbane Bush Wackers hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-2 win. Takashi Toru picked up the save for Springfield, his 1st of the year. Losses have been rare for the Bush Wackers, who are now 3-1.
Yamasaki Jr., a native of Kawaguchi, Japan, was dealing all game. He kept Brisbane hitters off-balance, while giving the Capitals 7 quality innings. Yamasaki Jr. threw 86 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 4.
"Another day, another win. On to the next one," Yamasaki Jr. told the Springfield Today.
