Knights Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
|
The Kansas City Blue Spaders went down to defeat to Barry Sherman and his Sioux City teammates. The final score was 5-1 in favor of the Knights. Sherman went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 1-1. Sioux City, now 2-3, is off to a slow start.
Alberto Pérez put Sioux City in front, 2-0, when he took Silvino Fagundo downtown. His solo home run came with one out in the top of the fifth. It was his 1st home run of the season.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Sherman said after the game.
