A 3-RBI performance from Bill Cuff helped the Houston Sting beat the Palm Beach Bums, 9-4. Sigfrid Arnim got the win, improving to 2-0. He held the Bums to 2 runs on 1 hit over 5.1 innings, while striking out 9 and walking 2. The win leaves Houston with a record of 4-2.

The Houston win was a team effort. It included major contributions from, among others, Declan Ringer. In the bottom of the third, the Houston left fielder came to bat and hit a run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 1-0 lead.
