The Westside Road Warriors downed the Bel Air Princes, 9-5, at Philip Banks Field. Éric Simon led the way, going 3-for-5 for Westside. Earning his 2nd save for Westside was Allen Blair. Westside, now 2-0, is setting the league on fire so far.
The Westside triumph was a team effort. Not least among the contributors was José García. In the top of the seventh, the Westside third baseman hit a 2-run double. It staked his team to a 6-4 lead.
"Anytime I can help the team, I feel good about it," said Simon.
