Houston left fielder Declan Ringer had a terrific game. He went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Bethesda beat the Sting, 12-11. Ringer was named the player of the game despite the loss. Getting the save was Baden Thwaites, his 1st. Bethesda is now 2-1.

Bethesda took a 12-9 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With two out, right fielder Jim Unknown hit a 3-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.

Unknown told the Bethesda Chronicle: "I don't know which I enjoy more -- being a ballplayer or the perks that come with being a ballplayer."
