Cincinnati right-hander Cory McCoy made an effective start against the San Antonio Storm Troopers at The Clone Army, leading his team to a 6-5 win. McCoy, the winner, moves to 1-6. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up no walks. Pedro García earned the save for Cincinnati, his 3rd of the year.

The Snaps got a lift from third baseman Noboru Nishida who had a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth inning off Abdul-Rahim Barakah. It was his 28th RBI of the season and put Cincinnati in front, 1-0.

"They played a better game than we did," said San Antonio skipper Ernie Goslin.

The Snaps move to 47-69 with the win, while the Storm Troopers drop to 66-49.
