Riding the 3-hit performance of the 23-year old shortstop Jesús González, the Rock River Rats stopped the Spokane Bulldogs, 8-2. The winner was Kyu-cheol Ch'oe in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Alfonso Pucci took the loss. Rock River, at 74-41, sits in first place in the Ford Frick League Billy the Marlin Division.

Runs were hard to come by in this one. Harley Ware's at-bat with no one out in the top of the ninth, therefore, was critical. The Rock River catcher hit a solo home run, to put his team on top, 2-1.
