The Rock River Rats and San Antonio Storm Troopers lit up the scoreboard at The Rat Hole.

Shunso Kichida was the difference-maker for the Rock River Rats in what turned into a shootout with the San Antonio Storm Troopers. Kichida earned the player of the game award after going 4-for-4 in the 12-9 Rats win. Adam Pitkeathy got the win, improving to 12-3. He held the Storm Troopers to 5 runs on 6 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 3. Tom Wilson finished the game for Rock River and earned his 3rd save.

The Rats got a big boost from first baseman Orlando Barajas who had a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the third inning off Storm Troopers hurler António Encarnación. It was his 43rd walk of the season and put Rock River on top, 3-2.

"Crazy game," said Barajas after it ended.

Rock River goes to 73-39. The win puts them 3˝ games up in their division.
