Cornhuskers Get Past Boise for 5-4 Win
The DeKalb Cornhuskers turned back the Boise Hawks, 5-4, at Earl Campbell Stadium. Ambhoruha Vijayanath was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. Jérôme Wolff, credited with the win, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. On Khu recorded his 5th save for DeKalb.

Chipping in for DeKalb was catcher Jack Butler. He stroked a 2-run single in the bottom of the third. For the game, Butler went 1 for 3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Boise manager Bill Martin.

The Cornhuskers' win now puts them at 45-67.
