Rock River beat Wichita, 8-7. The win in part was due to designated hitter Matthew Robinson, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Rock River reliever Tom Wilson picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. José Santos took the loss. Tsuyoshi Tadokoro recorded his 29th save for Rock River.

The most critical at-bat came in the top of the 11th inning. With no one out, Masakazu Yoshida hit a 1-2 cutter from José Santos for a solo home run. It put Rock River in front, 8-7.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Robinson, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
