Payne Hits 2 home runs in Ducks Win
|
The Long Island Ducks trumped the Carson City Mustang, 6-1, at Long Island Stadium. Long Island center fielder Darren Payne was named player of the game for his performance. He slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Kazutoshi Yamasaki earned the win for Long Island. He lasted 6.1 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 6 hits, while striking out 6. With the win, he raised his record to 4-5. The Ducks, at 53-55, sit in 5th place in the Ford Frick League Billy the Marlin Division.
