Aidan Belts Bunch of Base Hits
|
It was a sensational day at the plate for Andrew Aidan as he led the charge to a 21-3 win over the Bulldogs. The Sandy Springs shortstop was pure misery for the Spokane pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
The manager for the Bulldogs told BNN reporters after the game, "Aidan put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Andrew Aidan singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, was hit by a pitch in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This season Aidan has hit 1 home run and posted a .242 batting average.
