Snaps Prevail, 3-1, Over New York
|
The Studio was the site of a competitive game between the New York Ninjas and Cincinnati Snaps.
The bats were silent much of the day at The Studio. But Evan Hemming conjured up just enough offense to carry the Snaps past the New York Ninjas, 3-1. Hemming went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. The winner was Brian Lapointe in relief. His record improves to 6-5. Leslie Arrington took the loss. Banyu Rais closed the door for Cincinnati, picking up his 7th save of the year.
Cincinnati grabbed a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first when Frank Chaulk hit a run-scoring single. For the day, Chaulk went 1-4.
"We put together a nice win," Chaulk said.
Cincinnati is now 44-62, while New York is 59-47.
