The Carson City Mustang topped the Madison Beehive by the score of 3-1, with the largest share of the credit going to second baseman Kong Ong. Ong went 2-3 with a home run for the Mustang. Carson City reliever Steve Spotton picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. António Mejía shouldered the loss. The save went to Julien Caron, his 20th this season.
Carson City took control in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Tony Durango hit a 2-run double to make it 3-1, Mustang.
Ong told a Carson City Chronicle reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
Carson City is now 52-55.
