The Madison Beehive beat the Cincinnati Snaps, 5-3, at The Hive. The win was largely due to the efforts of right fielder Mike McCaw, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-4 with 2 triples, while scoring 2 runs. Reliever Dongdo-pa Chen picked up the win. His record improves to 5-1. Kai-ge Jiao took the loss. Jim Unknown, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.
Tin-jong Yi was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Madison. In the bottom of the sixth, with the teams deadlocked, 2-2, Yi delivered for the Beehive. His run-scoring sacrifice fly put Madison on top, 3-2.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Madison manager Brian Moore.
With the win, the Beehive improved to 51-52.
