Spokane starter Ashley Heath had a strong outing against the Long Island Ducks at Long Island Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 2-0 win. Yoshiki Sato closed it out for his 21st save. With the win, the Bulldogs have a record of 57-46.
Early in the game, first baseman Marcos Villanueva had a solo home run for Spokane. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Bulldogs on top, 1-0.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Heath.
