Wolverines Top Spartans to Even Record

Howling Park was the site of a competitive game between the Sandy Springs Spartans and Wichita Wolverines.
Jake Rhodes pitched a good game, but his team, the Sandy Springs Spartans, still dropped a 4-2 decision to the Wichita Wolverines at Howling Park. Wichita reliever Wilton Hill picked up the win, upping his record to 3-11. Jake Rhodes took the loss.
The Wolverines got a gift in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game was tied, 2-2, Tony MacCorkle reached on an error by the P, driving in 1 run. It made the score 3-2, Wichita.
"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," MacCorkle told the Wichita News.
The third-place Wolverines have won 4 consecutive games.
