2028 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Boise Hawks.

The Phoenix Lights put together a convincing win at Basque Block Field, defeating the Boise Hawks, 11-1. Senichi Nii was one of the hitting stars. He went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for Phoenix. Christopher Fallows closed the door for Phoenix, picking up his 1st save of the year.

Nii had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the first inning, when he hit a single. The Lights went on to win.

"What we get, we earn," Nii told the Phoenix Gazette.

The second-place Lights lifted their record to 61-40.
