The Phoenix Lights got production from their entire lineup in an easy 15-3 win over the Boise Hawks. Player of the game honors went to right fielder Kunio Suto. Suto was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. Noritoshi Sato picked up the win, improving his season record to 9-5. He struck out 5 in 5 innings. Troy Hannah was credited with the save for Phoenix, his 1st of the season.

Phoenix grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, Fernando González delivered a 2-run double, to make it 3-1 in favor of the Lights.
