Martín Arredondo was instrumental in his team's 10-5 triumph over the San Antonio Storm Troopers. The center fielder went 2-5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Long Island Ducks. Long Island reliever Moritz Kenter got the win, raising his record to 6-1. Yoshida Kaneko was tagged with the loss. Long Island is 5th in the Ford Frick League Billy the Marlin Division with a record of 47-52.

The Long Island triumph was a team effort. Not least among the contributors was Alan Ward. In the top of the seventh, the Long Island pinch hitter hit a run-scoring double. It staked his team to a 6-5 lead.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Ward told the Long Island Gazette.
