Ninjas Hang 5-4 Loss on Hawks

The New York Ninjas scored a 5-4 win versus the Boise Hawks at Confucius Field. New York catcher Noriyuki Miyamoto nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. New York, at 56-41, occupies third place in the Ford Frick League Billy the Marlin Division.
Dwight MacBeth brought the hometown crowd to its feet with one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when the 21-year old third baseman belted a 3-run home run. With the round-tripper, the Ninjas took the lead, 5-2.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said New York manager Reda Guillon. "It's usually not just one thing."
