Mustangs Stumble, Lose to Beavers

The Mile High Mustangs took it on the chin, losing 10-2 to the Portland Beavers. Brian Berry, who is tied for 5th in the TML in innings pitched with 61.1, pitched a strong game for Portland. The winning pitcher was Berry, now 4-3. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. The Mustangs, at 13-27, have lost 5 in a row.
Norberto Ramírez contributed an important at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With the bases loaded, he grounded out, driving in 1 run. It was one at-bat that helped send Portland to the win.
