Big Day with Bat: MacBeth 5-for-6
|
No matter what the Sandy Springs Spartans threw at him today, Dwight MacBeth hit it. He easily handled Spartans pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Ninjas to a 15-8 triumph at The Coliseum.
"The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.
Told of MacBeth's quip, Spartans skipper Duncan Kelly said he "would take him up on that next time."
Dwight MacBeth grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Hunter Shaw in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Javier Peña in the 9th.
So far this season MacBeth is batting .327 with 3 home runs.
