The Madison Beehive put together a convincing win at The Kennel, defeating the Spokane Bulldogs, 11-3. Ramón Márquez was one of the hitting stars. He went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for Madison. Cristián Silva got the save, the 1st for him this season. Madison occupies 4th place in the Ford Frick League Junction Jack Division at 46-49.
Tin-jong Yi dealt the Bulldogs a blow in the top of the second. Batting with the bases loaded and Madison leading 1-0, Yi hit a 0-1 fastball for a 2-run single.
"Enjoyed this one," Yi told the Madison Gazette. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
