The Madison Beehive picked up a win at The Hive, knocking off the Topeka Predators, 4-3. Starting pitcher António Mejía was an essential part of his team's success. Madison now sits in 4th place in the Ford Frick League Junction Jack Division at 45-48.
Madison took a 4-3 lead on Lian-wei Khu's 17th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Khu hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Topeka pitcher Hung-chang Chao visibly frustrated.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Topeka manager Armando Ortíz, "let me know."
