In a tight contest at Cowboys Stadium, the Phoenix Lights edged the Carson City Mustang by the score of 8-7. Phoenix catcher Stan Wallace, who blasted 1 home run, was named the player of the game. Carson City's current losing streak is now 5 games.
Senichi Nii in the top of the eighth had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and the Lights leading 7-6, the Phoenix center fielder hit a run-scoring single.
