Beehive Suffer 6-3 Loss to Storm Troopers
|
The San Antonio Storm Troopers topped the Madison Beehive, 6-3, with second baseman Misao Fujii playing a big role. Fujii went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Storm Troopers in the win. Jim Unknown earned the save for San Antonio, his 1st of the year. The first-place Storm Troopers have a one-game lead in their division.
In the bottom of the first inning, San Antonio got a break when Fujii went to the plate. With no outs, runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Storm Troopers leading 2-1, Fujii hit a 3-run home run.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Fujii told the San Antonio Today.
