Ducks Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
The Long Island Ducks wiggled past the Topeka Predators, 5-4, at Long Island Stadium. Long Island second baseman Javier García earned player of the game honors. Long Island, at 39-41, occupies 5th place in the Ford Frick League Billy the Marlin Division.

Pedro Pinto provided some late-game heroics for Long Island. In the bottom of the tenth inning, he hit a run-scoring single. It came on a 1-2 fastball from Jim Unknown and propelled Long Island to a 5-4 lead.

"We battled our tails off to get this win," said Long Island manager Bob Reece.
