Boise Hawks starter Po-sin Pang was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Long Island Ducks, 6-5. Boise reliever Akio Chikuda was credited with the win, to go to 2-1. Moritz Kenter took the loss for Long Island. Getting the save was Hou-kang Li, his 16th.

Boise took the lead in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, Lewis Cosh stroked a run-scoring single to make it 5-4, Hawks.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Long Island manager Bob Reece. "The effort was great."

The Hawks are now 30-49, while the Ducks fall to 36-41.
