Robles, Carson City Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
In a tight battle between the Carson City Mustang and the Topeka Predators, pitcher Pedro Robles was in the zone. The Carson City right-hander was named the player of the game in Carson City's 2-0 win. Julien Caron picked up the save for Carson City, his 15th of the year. At 40-39, the Mustang are currently second in the Ford Frick League Junction Jack Division.
The Predators had trouble solving Robles, who surrendered no earned runs on 1 hit over 6 innings.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Carson City manager William Rabbetts said.
