Predators Suffer 7-3 Loss to Cornhuskers
The DeKalb Cornhuskers topped the Topeka Predators by the score of 7-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Zheng-ze Joe. Joe went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Cornhuskers on the day. The 6th-place Cornhuskers lifted their record to 36-42.

The Cornhuskers beat the Predators in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Shaun Berridge produced in the bottom of the fifth. Batting against Topeka pitcher Jim Unknown, Berridge gave his team a 4-3 lead when he hit a run-scoring single.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Joe told the DeKalb Herald. "It's as simple as that."
