The Boise Hawks did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Carson City Mustang at Cowboys Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Peter McColgan, who captured player of the game honors. Hou-kang Li sewed up the save, his 14th. With the win over Carson City, the Hawks improved to 28-49.

Nolan Morgan helped out the Boise cause in the top of the fourth inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the third baseman went 2 for 4 with 2 singles.

Carson City manager William Rabbetts said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
