The Madison Beehive topped the Long Island Ducks, 6-5, in 13 innings. Madison third baseman Ryu Watanabe earned player of the game honors with his performance. He went 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Madison reliever Cristián Silva got the win, raising his record to 2-1. Casey Reynolds was tagged with the loss. The 5th-place Beehive lifted their record to 35-38.

Late-game drama came in the bottom of the 13th inning. With one out and a runner on 1st, the batter, James Maxwell, drew a walk. It helped Madison seize the win.

Watanabe said afterward that he was "glad the fans were treated to a good ballgame."
