It might have been a rain-shorted game, but Cornhuskers fans didn't seem to mind as long as their team got the win.

DeKalb Cornhuskers starter Jim Unknown pitched a strong game against the Sandy Springs Spartans at Earl Campbell Stadium, leading the Cornhuskers to a 7-2 win. DeKalb, at 32-39, sits in last place in the Ford Frick League Billy the Marlin Division.

Denis Fabre contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a sacrifice fly. It was one at-bat that helped DeKalb get the win.

"We had a nice day," said DeKalb skipper Shusaku Fukuda.
