Snaps Snatch Late Win
|
Cincinnati right-hander Loeck de Cock pitched his team to a shutout win, 4-0, over the Phoenix Lights. Cincinnati reliever Diviraj Sundaramoorthy was credited with the win, to go to 2-1. Jian-cheng Wang took the loss for Phoenix. The 6th-place Snaps now have a win-loss record of 29-42.
Late-game drama came in the bottom of the eighth inning. With one out and the bases loaded, Cincinnati left fielder Kieran Alexander hit a 2-run double, helping his team get the win.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Cincinnati skipper Steve Nolan.
