Snaps Lose, 2-1, at Confucius Field
|
The New York Ninjas and Cincinnati Snaps played a tight game at Confucius Field, with the hosts claiming the hard-fought win.
In a tight game between the New York Ninjas and the Cincinnati Snaps, pitcher Amilcar Laboro was terrific on the mound. The New York right-hander was named the player of the game in New York's 2-1 win. New York reliever Hiang-ta Lew picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Cory McCoy took the loss.
New York took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With one out, catcher Noriyuki Miyamoto hit a solo home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"We did just enough to win," Miyamoto said.
New York's record now stands at 38-30, placing them 4th in the Ford Frick League Billy the Marlin Division.
