The San Antonio Storm Troopers turned back the Sandy Springs Spartans, 5-4, at The Clone Army. Sagramor Vob was named player of the game for his fine performance. He was 2 for 3 with 2 singles. San Antonio reliever Yoshida Kaneko picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Jake Rhodes took the loss. San Antonio, now 33-33, holds third place in the Ford Frick League Junction Jack Division.

In the bottom of the 5th, the Storm Troopers grabbed the lead on a two-out double by Roberto Muńóz. San Antonio at the time was trailing 4-3, but Muńóz's 2-run double off Jake Rhodes put his team in front.

"Scoring runs is scoring runs," said San Antonio skipper Ernie Goslin. "It's important to have different ways to do it."
